Safe and secure
Did you know? If you are over 60 and need help with small household jobs such as installing grab rails, clearing gutters or extending telephone sockets then help is at hand.

You can apply to the Safer Homes Project. The service is free and aims to improve safety and security in the home by providing practical assistance and advise. Ring 01223 726284

Daffodil planting
Sarah Dixon, past Chairman of the Parish Council is planting a number of daffodils around the village sign to celebrate her three years as Chairman. We all look forward to the splendid display next Spring.

New road signs
You will have noticed the new road sign….albeit in the wrong place. We are trying to get this rectified as well as discussing other initiatives on road safety with the Council. See Parish minutes for more information

Footpaths
At last!!! We have a nice new footpath at the far end of Pipers Close.

Cemetery
We have now replaced the broken windows in the chapel at the cemetery. Tree work will be undertaken in the autumn and other work is expected to take place within the next few weeks. The Parish Council will be organising a tidy up day at the cemetery in the autumn – and volunteers are always welcome. Please let me know if you would like to help.

New Parish Councillors
The Parish Council is pleased to welcome Pat Flynn and Barrie Hawkins as co-opted members to the PC. This co-option will be until they stand for election along with all the other councillors next May.
